WDTHFM.COM

We are still remodeling and rebuilding the website. We have been looking over the historical stuff about the original WDTH and decided that a lot of it is really quite negative. Rather than depress you with all the facts of the station's historic demise, we're going to hold off on most of the items we have in our collection.  There are some  odds and ends from its heyday that may be of interest like a music survey or two.  Nothing flattering just what we have so far in our collection.

Now I can tell you that we have been in contact with a person who claims to have some interesting things about WDTH that is going to send our way. He is busy person with his job and all (which we can understand) BUT we have been waiting almost a year now for something to include here. Maybe he will visit the website here and catch my "hint"...but we're not quite sure since I (and he) never know when we will catch each other by way of phone and email. I should also add here he's out of the country from time to time on various "projects" so delays are to expected. But it should be noted here that I am getting impatient and want to get this site DONE and create a positive prospective of the old WDTH that will hopefully complement the new and redesigned WDTHFM.COM. We'll keep everyone posted as to how we are doing.

It's annoying when you are a perfectionist. May things suffer because of it. So, we are taking a chance by clearing the front page and setting up all the articles and artifacts we have on their own pages. Nothing you do ever satisfies when you are the "creator" or "artist."

Bear with us for a while as we organize our junk into something resembling "interesting" and POSITIVE!

Meanwhile, we have added more music to our library and have jammed our server's hard drive with as much of it as we can. The last count for songs is just over 11,200!!! And as always repeating tunes is something we are trying to avoid.

SORT SORT SORT

Our music artist list is growing and will be updated as soon as we know who the last one will be. In other words, we are always finding more music from different artists. Our music list has grown to huge proportions and we have been sorting through it all as we get it. And it is going to take us a bit yet to get it set up for posting here. Alphabetizing an artist list takes a bit of work as does the layout. We have tried different looks but haven't decided on the "one"...yet. You'll know when we know.

NEW PROGRAMMING COMING

In August we hope to have enough "new programming" to creat a schedule. Blues has been a big request for us and we're working on the program's concept and how often it will be presented. Also the way we present our regular music schedule will be changing slightly. It will be scheduled like it was a separate program as well using a bit of voice tracking and adding some local stuff like weather and some new public service announcements. We have been asked if we will ever have commercials. Right now the answer is NO. But, with the way music licensing is changing and the fear of many internet broadcasters is the fees or royalties will go up (as in double) we may have ask you the listener to help support us. Tax deductable donating will be set up if we have to go that route which we hope we can avoid. BUT, it does help us to raise money cover costs like streaming, internet access and purchasing more music. It's beg, borrow and steal at the moment for music. Much of it comes from all over and we have to make doubly sure that the correct information is there for the music royalty folks. This explains why it takes so long for us to get some of the music you request us to get up on the stream. We do our best and we have about 300 songs as of this writing that needs to be checked for accurate information (e.g. publisher, group, album title, release date, etc.) Confused yet? If you are don't feel bad because we are always confused.
