Newspaper ad from the old Duluth Herald and News Tribune dated May 25,1971 and recycled again in 1974.

If you look in he upper left had corner you'll see two dates. One we can read and the other that is scribbled in with 1974 as the year.

With no real advertising budget it was kind of expensive for WDTH to advertise in the local newspaper. You would think that management would want to keep WDTH in the public's radar by taking out newspaper ads. But, with all the "bartering" going on between GM Bob Hansen and his advertisers there was no cash coming in. Hansen loved to barter to the point he bartered the station away in the end.

 Wonder who these characters are in this ad? Wonder if the guy at the desk is the boss?

Any one care to take a shot as to who these guys in this ad could be? Think back to 1971.
